Sorry, that's a little over the top, but I'm pretty sure my Jeep has just been forgiven for any problems it has caused in the past. It's a love hate relationship to be sure.

All new rotors and pads and hardware at a local shop I trust seems to have made me coast better. I had DEAD rotors for a while it turns out. I had rear noise and a very slight vibration too. I had changed the u-joints and that did nothing.

As for the thermo (from moparpartsamerica.com) It heated right up to half in no time. I'm wondering if I had messed up my SAMCO hoses too, becaue I get a little less turbo whistle, and I can squeel my tires at stop lights now.

My MPG must have gone way down on the way home today because I was a complete jerk at every stop. For the most part I drive like an old blind woman. Tomorrow I drive 5 hours, and I'l repeat the drive on Thursday. I have gotten my last tank to 27.9 (hand calc) and now I'll see if I can crack 30 that so many of you seem to be able to do.

Sorry for the worthless post. I just really like my Jeep. New fuel had goes in some time next week.

when you say you had "dead rotors" does that mean they werent working at all, shouldnt there have been rust on rotors if they werent working?

Oh yeah. The rear rotors were chipped and pitted on the inside, which I didn't see due to the shield. The outside had about 30% contact surface on both sides. The rest was rust. I was upset at first when I began to think about how long I had them, but then I realized at 82k my front rotors were original. They were turned twice.

We'll see how long it lasts, because he didn't replace the calipers. He said that there was rusted hardware and so he cleaned it up. After 30 miles, I'm happy. It felt good in rush hour.

I think the salt has been my problem too. I probably have salt contact for 4-6 months out of the year.
