Or for the same money, you could buy another CRD. That's the problem with it.

True, just thought it was interesting.

We camp in bear areas and the wife wouldn't have the soft sides anyways.
We have a hard sided pop up now.

It's a somewhat interesting concept. We've, hunting buddies and I, drug a "regular" tent trailer through some pretty crazy stuff. Blew one of those 14" POS tires out in the middle of nowhere. Most of those rigs are crap. However, $12K for an "extreme trail edition"? :ROTFL:

It seems to me there are only a few reasons to consider a camping trailer of any sort:

Toilet
Heat in the winter
Ability to stand up to put your pants on

I'm guessing only 1 for 3 with this thing.

I'm heading out to the prairie at the end of this month on an antelope hunt. Marmot Limelight 3 tent=$220, Campingaz micro stove=$25, REI 32 degree sleeping bag=$89, Brunton LED lantern=$15, Coleman ice chest=$100 (I splurged), Kelty Sunshade=$140, various and sundry=what? Somewhere short of $12K I'd wager.

I tented for years (camping). The trailer is luxury. I wouldn't go back now.

Our latest purchase is a 3-way cooler (propane, 120vac, 12dc).

Love camping- :pepper: :CAMPING:

I hate camping in a tent or tent like structure. 3 deployments totaling 28 months of living in a tent has cured me of all tent camping activities for the rrst of my life. Neat little trailer but the money is a little steep.

Living in a GP anything or a hide is a completely different story than living in a tent for fun.

say it in a Jeep showroom window as I drove past. it looked cool and I wanted to know how much. since there is likly no heat, no cooking equpments and looks like no sink or power hook up I would have little intrest in it. however if you add a heater, 2 burner stove or and in/out unit. and a sink with only cold would be ok, and power hook up for lights and a fan. THen I may be intrested if it was at a lower price and I could get it in Deep beryl green to match my jeep.

I seen a used pop up and a dealer that was only a few years old that had all that plus sleeped more and had a/c for $6500....... to me that would have been a better deal for the money but no big tires and the Jeep name on it.

Hmmm. Lift kit and oversize knobby tires for the trailer? :D

wondering if you could do that to a regular pop up? I wouldn't camp any place that I needed to cover rough terrain so a normal one would be fine for me and a better value.
