My EVIC displays "Check TPM System". Anybody else ever get this message? Any ideas on a fix? Thanks

TPM stands for "Tire Pressure Monitoring" so the first thing is to check the air in all 5 tires  I don't have an evic so I don't know if pushing a button will tell you more. Also TPM systems are a new idea and no one knows for sure how long the batteries in the wheel sensors will last. And they're not replacable, you buy the whole sensor that's under $20 online.

All 5 tire pressures are good. Any way to know which of the 5 sensor batteries may be bad?

You need a TPMS specific scanner/programmer,not cheap so better off taking it to a dealer or tire shop that has the correct tools to do diag on the TPMS system.

Those TPM systems are the worst thing ever.
All manufactures have these problems.
My advise, turn off the TPM system and buy a good tire pressure gauge.

I often get a check TPM on the EVIC when offroading. Only one time did it necessitate replacing a sensor.

I posted this same question in the general forum last week......no one answered it. still have no culue what it was and I have not seen it since. when I off road and air down I get low tirepressure on the EVIC and the TPM light in the instromnet panel is lit. this is not the same.

if the sensors can be had for $20 please post a link for future reference.

I covered my warning light cause I was sick of seeing it. My tmps sensors didn't work on my old rims when I had it done so that's when I blocked it. Now I got the MOABs and they would pry work but I don't really care anymore.

UPDATE: :dizzy:
They've gone up since I got mine. Go here and select your year and model then search on "Sensor" and you'll find them. They are now $38.90!! Mine was $17 something plus shipping over a year ago.
