I just bought my CRD and want to have a shop give it a once over and take care of a few small issues. Has anyone had a good experience taking their CRD to a shop in the Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. area?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Perhaps you should ask for people with BAD experiences and do process of elimination :)

I am dealing with Manassas Jeep right now. So far they have been informative and fair to me when I was in Germany and the KJ was there.. If I needed to go back to them I would but I am super sensitive when it comes to taking my Jeep there, and they know it. Mararet Crabill is who I have been dealing with.

I used the Jeep/Dodge dealership in Arlington. I hated Farrish out in Fairfax.

Thanks for the info. I ended up taking it to Koons in Tysons last week. I had EGR and fuel/water separator issues as well as a suspension/drivetrain clunk. For the engine work, they seemed to be relatively fair, at least for a dealer. As for the clunking noise, they couldn't give a very good answer, just a WAG. May take it to a mom and pop type place and see if they come up with the same thing or something I believe.

Update: I can not reccomend Manassas Jeep for CRD service. I am currently taking the CRD to Scott at United Diesel to fix the CRD where Manassas did not install the TB correctly. I am in the process of getting my labor refunded for the install and maybe more.

Check with a regional Injector/Injection Pump/turbo rebuild shop that serves your area, there has to be one or more.
They know who does good quality work and will recommend their good customers to you.
As a rule the shops who do lousy work have other problems and don't pay their bills on time, most likely because they can not maintain loyal clients, plus they may be getting sued and having to pay out to Lawyers.
