Post subject:  Lower Arms and Lift Kits?

Just got back from Moab. I took the Liberty out on Hell's Revenge. (JL claims these are Jeeps not SUVs). I wanted to be on the pot hole (aka hot tub) rim. I got contact on the lower A arms, front factory skids, trailing arm mounts, and trailer hitch.

My real concern are the lower A arms. I haven't seen any pics of how well Frankenlift or JBA gets them up out of the way. Anybody with a lift kit willing to post pics of the under side? I'd like to go 2 to 3 inches.

TIA

Here are a few pics: http://s632.photobucket.com/albums/uu48/panchoandlefty_photos/Moab%20trip/?albumview=slideshow

Didn't touch on the greasy spot. Coming off the ridge is where the lower arms got sand scrubbed.

Good pictures, thanks.
The lower arms stay. The upper arms and the ball joints maybe but I have not heard of a lower arm replacement.
Someone here will say I am wrong, eh?

No, that's the point. How do the kits get the existing arm up out of the way??? Doesn't it look like the hit my lower arm took may have knocked it out of alignment? That's pricey fun for a few hours on the rock.

The only way to get the lower arm higher is to mount larger diameter tires. Even if you could get a new lower arm fabricated they still need to attach to the CLevis fork and strut. Not aware of any lower arm alternatives. Those babies are cast steel so they are pretty strong. I've never heard of anyone breaking one. You'd probably rip the upper arm off the body mounts before the lower arm goes.

There has been a few that have cracked and taken chunks of the LCA's offroad. They are strong though.
