Took apart part of my throttle body and intake today, well I was just going to clean the intake til I felt all the slimmy soot inside it and freaked out so I'm taking more of the intake apart to clean the gunk off. Bout a good eigth inch of gunk build up in my libby with only 57,000 milles on it. This may be partly why its been lagging a lil lately |

I'm taking pics of before and after to show how gunked up mine is, and I will post later since this isn't exactly easy to take apart and put back together with my limited tool availablity it might take rest of the night |

inside the throttle body about only and 8th", then when i unbolted the throttle body from the intake tube it was a lot worse, some spots inside the intake tube were layered with about a half inch thick of soot in most spots, what a pain to put back together, def. a weekend project. noticed better acceleration driving around town after the cleaning. maybe its just me but engine noise seems to be down a little too. |

Leaky turbo seal? Or is this just something diesels do? |
