I was just out driving, sudden decrease in power, cel came on, pulled code P0093...large boost leak detected. Doesn't feel like it is making power. gonna go look for something obvious, y'all chime in I will check in a bit. G |

How many miles since the last fuel filter change? Do you have an updated fuel/water separater from Mopar? You are most likely having air in the fuel or fuel gelling issues. The P0093 code appears when the fuel rail cannot maintain the desired pressure and the pump is not able to supply enough fuel even with full demand. |

5k miles on new fuel filter. Stock fuel head. Should I try bleeding it? |

Remove the fuel heater connector (top right on fuel head) and prime unitl the it is too hard to push, then shine a light into the open heater plug on the fuel head and check if any fuel or bubble come out. If not, you can slowly open the bleeder and continue priming unitl fuel comes out. |

Bled it, cleared code, drove it around block. Making boost again. hmmmm |

Exact same thing happened to me twice this summer. It seems VERY random...but happened both times while under wide open throttle. Once you restart the Jeep, all is well again. |

I got the "large fuel leak" doing the same thing hammering the Hot tuned Jeep up Highmount Mountain in NY this Summer, went into limp, I had to pull over, turn it off and restart it, forgot the OBDII tool. |

This just happened me tonight. Schizz just died and wouldn't turn over. First thing I check is the primer and as I push it I see bubbles and fuel squeaking out from between the filter and the head. Apparently, the gasket on the filter went all asstastic.. I pulled off the filter, flipped the gasket and put everything back together. Cleared the codes and drove home with no further issues. |

Don't sweat it, if you install a small inexpensive flow thru lift pump under the hood, it will solve your air in fuel problems. But make sure you replace the fire prone original fuel head first. A leaky fuel head will continue to furiously leak when a lift pump is installed, doubling the odds of a potential fire under the hood of which the original fuel head, is known to be the cause of. |

Personally, I think the HOT tune is trying to draw more fuel than the factory fuel injection system can deliver. Is that a possibility? I didn't notice this issue before the tune. But... it's so random that it's not a problem for me yet. |

I had it happen when I was Eco tuned as well, and I don't recall hammering it, level interstate driving, I think it was just an air bubble at that time? |

Maybe the hot tune requires a properly working fuel system From the day I bought mine new in 2006 it had fueling issues A in tank lift pump made a world of difference. Granted if my dealer had been inclined to correct the problem they might have been able to instead of the famous "can not duplicate" rubber stamp approach No error codes just sluggish response from a stop and bucking when easing up on the peddal after mild acceleration |

Since I change under waranty the head and filter at 83,000Km (50Kmiles) the truck run fine and never get issue with the fuel system with the ECO "torque" tune I purchase with the programmer from Keith (GDE) I was not sure what to buy between the ECO and HOT to tow my camping trailer but Keith give me a deal on the second tune so I buy it. The tank fill with diesel 2 I drop the pedal to the floor several time to see if my fuel system can manage the demand and he get in Limp mode under only very heavy accelaration with the Hot tune, so I conclude if the system is in good condition the lift pump is not essential in normal condition driving. Change your head first and add a lift pump only if necessary Have to do futher testing next spring in tow mode using B5.....Realy like the Hot tune in tow mode |
