I was calling about the window regulator TSB on 2006-2007s and our CRDs are not included BUT...I told them that my f37 redall was incomplete...they did the detune before I purchased mine but did not replace any hardware (ie the TC). Even tho my CRD now has 104,000 miles, the rep told me that the recall (Customer Satisfaction) is still covered under warranty and the new Euro TC should be installed at no cost.

I called 1-800-992-1997 and asked for the "Complaint Department". I also checked on jeep.com and my vehicle states the recall is incomplete.

Finally a break!

Was it the Recall check that showed you the incomplete F37?

Bummer...mine shows no incomplete recalls.

I've been on the phone with Chrysler since last week trying to get the TSB for the trans filter and cooler line fixed for the extended shut off period and subsequent stalling after start up. I even read the TSBs off and the customer service rep acted like she never heard of such a thing. I am so done with Chrysler. It's a shame too because the Challenger, Ram and new Cherokee sure do look nice.

The rep probably never has heard of the CRD let alone the TSB your talking about.
Most likely your CRD is near/at or above the recommended 62.5k mile transmission service per the FSM :SOMBRERO:
So that would come under "normal maintence" so it's your nickle anyhow :jester:

Well, I read her word for word what the TSB was. I have the extended till 100,000 miles. Was my understanding from what a lawyer explained to me that once there is a TSB it has to be fixed at no cost, especially is the NHTSA gets involved. My wife's 1990 4 Runner had the head gaskets replaced 2 years (151,000 miles on odometer) ago from Toyota under the recall they had, no cost to us at all.

I am in a similar condition, no incomplete recalls, with my 2006 CRD, how did you get the Euro TC out of the call?

If anyone has any information on a TSB or recall I would also like this (new recalls or TSB)... I'm trying to get Chrysler to replace the torque convertor in my 06 CRD but they say there is no recall. I/you and everyone else knows the TC is junk. If anyone can provide anything more to help us with OEM taking care of the problem they know they've created...please provide any help available. I don't think that we should have to take care of their problem after we paid big money for Jeep CRD's....

Racalls are different then TSB's :SOMBRERO:
If the NHTSA is involved it's a recall. The S in nhtSa stands for SAFFTY. You would have to convince them your sluggish transmission is a danger to your life :ROTFL:
Your toyota issue was most likely from a class action suit or a threat of one. Like the sludge problem they had with their V6

When was your 06 made? If it was in November 05 or later they already had the TC the earlier ones were updated to and only got 'flashed". But don't confuse that with the so called Euro TC that showed up sometime in 09 as I remember :D Yes there have been a total of 3 Chrysler TC's in the life of the CRD's.

Now I'm confused. My '06 has a build date of 08/05. If the above is true, mine should have been F37'd, detuned, with no new part. Jeep website says no outstanding recalls. However, it's a lot more spunky than the last one I had, which was F37'd, and it shifts at 53mph, which I thought was the sign of no F37. Previous owner says it never saw a Jeep service center since he bought it new.
A forum member had a euro TC I thought about buying for a future dark day but I can't resolve where I stand.
Whaddaya think?

Wrong, Sorry I confused you  Please CAREFULLY RE-READ THE ABOVE! We now know yours was made in August of 2005 and that is before November 05 :banghead:
So yours falls into "the earlier ones" catagory that failed very early. If it were replaced it would have been with the same one as those produced from November 05 and onward :pepper:

Some dealers replaced the TC's on the pre 11/05 ones but didn't do the flash because of problems they had killing tcm's or at the request of owners.
In the early days in the life of US crd's (mid to late 06) LOST members were loosing TC's daily in just a few thousand miles. Chrysler had several flashes before the famous f37 and one even caused third party scanners to not function. That was clearly out of EPA specs and those that got that flash (mine) had a RECALL that was F31 :dizzy:

The current torque converter (Euro) didn't come along untill sometime in 2009 so NO NORTH AMERICAN CRD'S CAME WITH IT.

Thanks for the clarification. Sorry for hijacking the thread.
So I likely had a part change but was it an improved part? I plan to stay stock but want to prepare if I can expect the TC to fail. If the current TC is fine then I'll just stop worrying about it.

I really hope Darby gets a free install of a "euro" TC, but I think if he does, he will have caught somebody "sleeping". My '05 had the TC replaced along with the reflash as part of the recall, but I believe that most, if not all of the '06s came with the TC that was retrofitted to the 05s with the recall.

However, since the "euro" TC is now the "standard" replacement TC for our CRDs, a rig that has somehow escaped the recall all this time could get the "good one".

(I actually maneuvered to get a free install from the dealer of a "euro" TC by waiting 2 years with a rear main seal leak until it finally became clear what the best way to go was with the TC. I bought the "euro" TC from MPA and the dealer installed it N/C as part of the warranty seal repair.)

I sure the hell didn't! Just spent two weeks going back and forth with Chrysler's "Customer Service" dept. They assigned me to a case manager who was so smart; she said that "the dealer is replacing the a/c blower motor so that should help with your transmission."
She seriously said that!
So I finally speak to a "supervisor" and to no avail. Despite my pleads that this has been to the dealerships since 2006 over the same problem and even after the F37 that the TSB should include a new torque converter. The dealership claims that the torque converter is not the issue and that the F37 is the adequate procedure.
Anyway, good luck to anyone that trys. I think a class action suit is in order for anyone that purchased a 05-06 Liberty CRD and has to pay for a torque convertor. This is the 3rd one they've come up with? If that isn't an admittance of guilt I don't know what is. I can see why people never buy Chrysler again.
Oh, and I have Mr. Mike Manley's (CEO, Jeep) Phone number to anyone that needs to call, PM me.

Post subject:  Re: Made a Call to Chrysler today and...

I agree.... I talked to a "supervisor" also..... She told me that reading on the internet wasn't a good source of information. I told her that I could provide all the TSB's in relevance to the problem. Then she told me that it didn't matter because of my build date. I told her that Chrysler wouldn't have designed a new one and spend all the money on R&D for nothing... Then asked her if she understood transmissions, torque convertors, and stators.... Of course no.... Just knows what the screen on the PC tells her.... OH....I told her I wanted them to replace the TC with the new updated version and she told me there was nothing wrong with mine....Then asked me again what I wanted out of the call...

Please send me the phone number you have... I'll gladly call... I would also think the lawsuit should go through... Chrysler knows they have a problem with all TC unless they are the new Euro version....Even that hasn't been proven 100 yet but looks much better than the two before it...This isn't rocket science.... OH I'm pissed....
