LOST JEEPS :: View topic - Fan/Blower only working on setting 4

Yep, picked up the Sebring one last night. Was amusing dealing w/ the parts guy:

Me: I need a blower motor resistor for an '04 Sebring

Parts guy: (types into computer) Engine?

Me: I have no idea - doesn't matter.

Parts guy: Body style?

Me: I have no idea - doesn't matter.

Parts guy: ???? (puzzled look)

Me: It's actually for my Jeep Liberty but the Chrysler part is more robust than the Jeep one. I'm pretty sure there's only one part for all of them.

Parts guy: (turns computer screen to face me)

Me: (Points to BWD part) That one please!

Sounds about like the same conversation I had with Advace Atuo guy. When he gave it too me, I pulled it out of the box and showed him they were almost indentical part. Told him the sebring one was upgraded. I think our blower actually blows stronger on each setting over the stock one.

Funny thing is I have replaced more sebring blower resistors and not one KJ resistor.
Oh and they updated all of them so the newer dealer resistor is the same for the KJ as the Sebring,but yes different part #'s.

All, Did some searching on this but couldn't find any info. All of a sudden the cabin fan only works on setting 4 (full blast), but not 1, 2, or 3. Anyone seen this before? Simple fuse or relay replacement? Thanks!

I went through this last year..... It was a resistor behind the glove compartment, $25.00 OEM part from the dealer. I don't remember the part number but if do a search you will find it.

Yup, x3. Every vehicle has one of those ceramic resistor things.

There is 2 older design and they are the same B/S that's why I was convince you got the wrong part Here the pic to justified my words. Good to know you got the green one! Got news for you I change mine last summer and they offert me the same B/S, my step brother change is blower resistor for is seebring in December and he show me what they sale to him....Same crapy B/S so I give him the part number to get a exchange. Maybe they still got some old parts in stock...
