Got a '05 Sport CRD which has the GDE Hot tune and TCM tune, the libby would hustle. I put on some grabber at2 that are 10 ply 235/70r16, and i noticed a slight decrease in power, which was expected. Now, (1 yr since the tires) the jeep takes about 20sec to start, has a rough idle, when you romp on the go pedal it bogs out like it is flooded up to about 1700-2400 rpm, at which it clears out. While driving the acceleration is lower than before (6 months ago), seems to require more rpms to accel. At a full stop, decent accel arrives around 2100rpm before it feels like it is "on pipe", tried to do a power brake burnout and it took close to 30secs before it would start to break the rear end loose. I checked for vacuum for the turbo vain controller, no fuel leaks, do not know if it has a v1 or v2 fuel filter head, has a lift pump, I did the EHM. I checked the play on the intake side of the turbo of the vane shaft and am getting a "click" on the pull and a "click" when pushing the shaft. What should i check, how to check? Thanks |

Have you changed/checked your fuel filter and air filter? |

Check Sam's NOOB guide if you have not already done so and even if you have take a look at the fuel head bleeding video for a picture of the old vs. new OEM fuel filter heads. In addition to dirty fuel filter and/or air in the fuel lines I'd take a look for a dirty air filter, possible rip in air filter box to turbo hose down by the turbo, problems in the turbo>intercooler>engine hoses which have to be carefully inspected for holes/tears/soft spots OFF the vehicle especially on the bottom side unless you have Samcos or 2 gen OEM, and MAP sensor may need cleaning - for starters. |
