Another great story regarding a beautiful crd and an evil dealer.
Recently had the Jeep in for warranty work, replaced water pump and transfer case chain/belt. Since then I have had this chatter/vibration underneath my shifter. This sound occurs always when: car is warming up to desired operating temperature, while at a stop and my foot is on the break, and/or while accelerating slowly. When at a stop I change the transmission from drive to park/neutral/reverse and when placed back into drive the vibrations are gone. Once the vehicle has been driven for awhile the sound is absent except for the odd stop or acceleration.
I was hoping so bad that they had forgotten a tool in the belly of my beast and that one day it would drop to the ground, and hopefully into a pile of organic waste. However, I fear this may be more then a tool left behind. Has this occurred to anyone after work had been completed on the transfer case, or even the transmission? I would love to figure something out before I have to send it back to the mad mechanics to gauge me for more money, as always happens. Thanks for your time and for those who read and choose to reply to this post.
Peace.
