Hi All,

My aircon light does not turn off at all. No matter what position the blower or the vent selector is in even when the a/c switch is off. Has anybody else experienced this?

The blower and vent selector switches shouldn't have anything to do with whether the AC on/off switch light is lit. Yes I know that in a couple of vent postions the AC compressor is engaged but that does not turn on the AC switch light if the AC switch is in the off position. That light, obviously, is only lit if it has power which I assume would only be when the AC is turned on and running. So my questions is if the temperature control is set to cold does the AC run all the time regardless of the position of the AC on/off switch or to put it another way does that switch actually turn the AC on/off. If not then my bet would be a bad switch stuck in the on position although I suppose it's also possible that the AC relay is doing something strange such as not tripping when the switch is flipped to off. To check the latter pull the AC relay and see if the light goes out. If it does swap in another relay of the same rating and see if the AC switch and light work correctly and if they do replace the bad relay.

If the switch does turn the AC on/off but the light does not go out you need to dig into the wiring to figure out where the power to turn the light on is coming from. I cannot help you with that.
