| Post subject: | Fog Lights |
So, a couple of days ago I'm driving in the north Georgia mountains with a heavy fog, I turn on the fog lights and all is fine, later I noticed that, if I use the turn signals the fog lights go out for a second at the time the turn signal lever comes back into neutral position. I though it was odd. is this normal? or is it one of those electrical mysteries due to a bad battery?? I do know, cuz the manual says so, that the fog lights will go out if the high beam is on. My battery is an one year old optima that reads 12.3 volts when it's fully charged. Thanks for your replies !!!! |

Well it could be a weak battery because CRDs do weird things when the batteries get weak. Also it could be and issue with that stalk since your fog lights, high beams, turn signals everything it in that same one. But i would check the battery first if that doesn't solve it and it is still bothering you i would order a new stalk assembly. They are prone to have issues in the Town and country mini vans and they could of possibly used the same supplier for the electronics. |

Not battery related, mine does that for over a year, and i just put a new battery 2 months ago,its the light/flasher/fog switch witch is defective exactly like thoses on the dodge caravans.I got it checked by the dealer, and they confirmed it,but at the time it was backorder,so i left it that way, anyways everything works fine expect for that flash from the fogs once in a while, mine does it like 1/10 times,if someday i can find the complete part at a good price on the net i will fix it,but if not, well it will stay that way. I cant remember the price at the dealership, but i guess it must like everything else,so if anybody finds a deal, let us know please, plus its a 10 minutes job to replace, really easy. |

Thanks for the replies !!! @ Patmaz: Have you noticed it getting any worst since it started? or it's still the same.... $48 plus shipping is not bad for the fix, but if it does not get any worst or does not cause further problems I'll leave it alone, it really does not bother me, I just thought it was odd and probably not normal; how often do I use the fog lights (5 times a year???) Thank you!!! |

Hey no problems, and no its not getting worst over time, just the same, like i told you,it does that about 1/10 times,so it dosnt really bother me,but like you say,for 48$,it might be worth it. Anyway, like you just said,we dont use the fogs every day,so... |
