Post subject:  Water pump is back ordered any other parts?
Just bought the CRD about a month ago . It has a 137000 miles on the jeep. I have rebuilt the transfer case . Now it's in the shop for timing belt should be done on Monday.
Wondering after reading all the problems . If I made a mistake in buying this Jeep. I wanted to put a lot of miles on this truck. Had a problem finding a water pump. Is any other parts that are back ordered that anyone knows about?

Call jeep corporate. 1-877-426-5337 (1-877-IAM-JEEP)

I couldn't find a water pump either. Corporate located one in Mexico for me.

No problem, I hope they can find one for you too. If they can't find one after a couple days, ask them to authorize a rental until they make the part available. You'll probably have to ask for a supervisor as the first level phone monkeys don't have much authority.

I've got a new water pump that I can reluctantly sell. I don't need the money and I hate packaging items and waiting in line at the post-office so my asking price will include a reasonable inconvenience fee that includes time, travel, and hassle. Shipping stuff is something I hate doing so please understand why I won't sell it at my cost.

If you are in Colorado and wish to pickup in person, I'd happily sell it for curent replacement cost, including S&H. I'm at 105k miles on original water pump and have religiously changed my antifreeze every 2-2.5 years. This hybird OAT seems to be easier on waterpump seals than older generation coolants and I'm hoping it will last until my next timing belt change at 195k miles.
