I just purchased a wrecked 2005 CRD. PO ran into a small tree just hard enough to push the bumper support in, and break the plastic driver-side to the a/c condensor, intercooler, and radiator. None of my local u-pick-it yards have anything that will work. I'd like to have original, or at least close to fitting correctly as it should. From what I've read, the a/c condensor, electric fan, mechanical fan shroud, radiator, and intercooler are all specific to a CRD, is that correct?
Also - does anyone have a good source for any of those parts cheap?

Those three are all CRD specific. But you never know you might be able to fit a V6 radiator in with a aftermarket intercooler. Like one the import turbo cars use. Might have room to mount one with custom intercooling tubing. Just a thought. :2cents:

Thanks. I ended up finding a salvage yard in Wisconsin that had a wrecked CRD. Picked up most of the parts I needed from them, the rest I ordered from moparonlineparts.com, rockauto.com, autopartswarehouse.com, and a little upgrade from boostcontroller.com for SAMCO hoses. Also renting the tools I need to change the water pump and timing belt/pulleys from GDE. 137k miles on all original... yikes

I think the shroud is shared. About $30 from Rock Auto. The rest is CRD specific so be prepared to get raped by the dealer.
