Looking for someone to assist or to do the work to replace both in SE MA. Anyone have recommendations on who to trust?

These vehicles are our family members, I won't trust it to a person who hasn't worked on these things before and accepts that there are mods that actually improve these things.

Bill

No particular recommendation just a comment that the 5-45RFE transmission is and has been in a bunch of DCJ vehicles for like a decade along with mods including beefed up TCs and kits like the transgo so any decent transmission shop that has done work on this transmission should be able to do the job (i.e. it's not a CRD specific thing). I know my local DCJ dealer has installed several SunCoasts TC in Dodge trucks for example.

You might want to glance at viewtopic.php?f=98&t=69582 . The plastic bushing goes south over time and for the $0.63 cost of the part I'd recommend installing a new one as part of the TC job.

I realize the 5-45RFE transmission is pretty standard, I was just hoping to find someone that has done this before. I do not have all the required tools, tranny lift in particular to do the work myself.

I also don't believe with my 6 ton stands I can elevate the Jeep high enough to pull the transmission out from under the vehicle.

I also need a place to work on this inside, I don't have a large enough garage to get under cover and not in my driveway

Suncoast does recommend shops, or did, give them a call.
