I put my crd on craigslist and a few of the people who are interested said they didnt want the eco-tune FT on it. I explained they could easily remove it and re-install the factory program. But what I would have liked to have explained is why its better..

Can anyone explain why the ecotune works so well in a paragraph or less?

If you do sell it to someone who didn't want it let me know and I would like to buy it from you. So put me first on the list for it!

STOCK CRD
High soot concentration in oil, average fuel economy, sooty intake, turbo lag, smoky exhaust, average power/torque, nagging issues with EGR/FCV.

GDE TUNED CRD
90% reduction of soot in oil, 3-5 mpg better than stock, no more soot in the intake, minimized turbo lag, 65% less smoke in exhaust, increased power/torque (varies with tune level), no more issues with EGR or FCV.

In the end, if you need to sell the CRD and they want it stock, we can flash it back for you no problem. I guess it would not be your problem at that point. Especially with rising fuel costs the GDE tune makes sense strictly from a monetary reason, not to mention all the other improvements.

Yeah, you could also have swapped ECUs from someone on this site. Hint, hint.

Can't just swap ECUs. VIN must be programmed in. Injector codes are a good idea, too. Contact GDE to find out what they would charge to facilitate a "swap".
