If anyone in and around the Indianapolis, IN area is in need of a mechanic to perform the 100k timing belt service, I am offering to do the job for you. Email or PM me with your contact info. Currently scheduling for late March. Other work on CRDs considered too.

Some additonal background information: I have worked professionally as a Service Technician for Volvo and BMW. I have the '05 and '06 Service Manuals, two books from the DaimlerChrysler Academy on the VM engine, the special tools to align the cams and cam gears.

However, experience is the best teacher. I have completed the job on my own CRD; water pump, thermostat, idler pulleys and tensioner included. I'm glad to show you my work.

Thanks for your consideration.

So, you've replaced the belt once already - right?

If not, you're in the red zone and can expect a failure almost any time.

Nope not yet...........if it breaks before I get it replaced ..... oh well :D
Don't have the time to get it done right now ...... too much work.

To be honest most my miles are low rpm highway miles so I am not that worried about it at this time , and since I don't have that 100mi commute anymore ( I have put about 1600mi since Sept LOL ) It is not like I am racking miles up on it right now.

It also has a boost issue I need to figure out ,no boost if I let is idle for more that 30sec without blipping the throttle (needs to be restarted to get boost back)
