The Princess's Jeep had the hard 2nd to 3rd shift. I did the quick learn on it. Didn't change anything. Took it in to Jeep to have it DRB re-set. Lasted about 2 weeks and the shift issue returned. The converter was replaced about 10g's ago by Jeep. I know the tech that did the work and he didn't F37 it at my request. Fluid level is good, was changed by Jeep. When I took it in for the shifting issue I forgot to plug the MAF sensor in. After the re-set the service writer told me about it and I explained just a little why it was unplugged and stopped. This guy had no idea it was even a diesel and hinted by his demeanor that could have caused the shifting issue or a bad TCM and I should never unplug the sensors. What can you say that doesn't involve sarcasm. The TCM had no codes showing. Now the FCV has since failed and is unplugged and I really don't want to take it back in to Jeep with this issue and have some DRB reader with no idea playing with it. Her Jeep only has 50g's on it and still has the 8/80 warranty, but warranty with idiots or no warranty and fixed right, I choose the latter. Any Ideas on my next move ????

Is there a different jeep dealer you can take it to? With the warranty this should be covered.

Thanks Max. I took it back to the same dealer. Got a different gatekeeper this time. Once again I had to explain it was a diesel with the short informational lecture that falls on deaf ears. Also added, this is a transmission issue, LEAVE THE ENGINE ALONE. As far as you're concerned, it doesn't even have an engine. It needs a new TCM. We'll see what happens.

Second to third shifts have always been rough under certain light throttle situations on most if not all CRD's.
But if yours has gotten worse then I would have the fluid and filters replaced, some filters have been splitting. This is most likely not covered under your 8/80 warranty

Thanks Joe. It wasn't the usual hard shift. I'm up on my filters and fluid. I was just in the shop and found out the Dodge diesel tech I know, was working on it again, that means no f37. Anyway the verdict is a bum valve body. And Chrysler has none. So he put it back together so the Princess has wheels until Chrysler can come up with a valve body. The saga continues.

After all the years of owning Dodges and Jeeps, this is just another rock along the trail. At least it's not sitting on the lot till who know when. But this is interesting, I have a friend in the parts area and he's on the hunt for a valve body for the Princess (He really likes her) he told me that with the bankruptcy many of Chrysler's suppliers are no more and many of the parts are hard to get and more expensive.
