with it.

I have an '05 KJ with 71k on it. I've had a provent and SEGR installed for the last 60k miles and haven't had any issues with it. It's never had the F-37 TCM flash and I've neved had to replace the torque converter. So far it's been a reliable little truck.

Part of the reason I haven't modified it is it's still under warranty. However that's going to be quickly coming to an end and I've looked at a GDE tune. The only concern I have is the longevity of the Pump/Injectors running increased pressure. Anybody have thoughts on this? I saw where someone had 65k miles on there GDE tuned truck and I'm looking for addational feedback.

My stats are about the same as yours (except I had the F37). I've had the GDE tune for about 2 years now and I'm very happy with it. It did the following for me:
- slightly better smoothness/throttle response
- slightly more power
- slightly better fuel economy
- linear progression of fuel gauge (as opposed to stock which is like falling off a cliff at 1/4 tank)

I'm still under warranty, and have the pre F37 TCM. I bought the GDE ECO tune 2 weeks after I bought the CRD last year. I have put 13k on it since with no issues what so ever. I bought the flasher so if I needed to bring it in for warranty work I could flash it back prior. I did not get the full tq ECO since I am also on the OEM TQ converter.
It sounds like you know the pros of getting the tune. I could not be happier with mine. (well maybe if it were free and got 75MPG)

I have had mine since Sept 2010.

I am pleased with it I have to agree with Dgeist about its benefits. Mine is an 06 I have had a provent since around 42,000 miles and no other mods to the engine. Did ORM when I got it in august 2009 up until the GDE tune was installed.

I'm at a little over 14k miles in the 7 months of CRD ownership. The GDE tune was done 10k miles ago. I'm happy with it, if nothing else for the fuel gauge calibration. I notice the power difference, and a little better MPGs. On pure freeway, my MPGs with the GDE tune are better but the appear to be worse in the city. This may have to do with my right foot, but I'm very particular with how I drive. Anyhow, overall, mpgs are better because of the highway. I 100% recommend it.

Had ours for over 2 years, no problems at all. Runs better, drives better, mileage is better...well worth the money.

I've had the ECO-FT tune for a little over 6 months and I'm thrilled. I've broken 35mpg on highway trips and, along with the transmission tune, the thing shifts and drives wonderfully. When I get a 2nd CRD it will be the first thing I do.

GDE-Hot tuned for 2 years now, with added TCM tune 1.5 years ago... Could not be happier with the Jeep, runs well, zippier, more mileage friendly and fun to drive. Gotta love that throathy diesel sound and the turbo whistling

BTW: Yearly mileage is 35-40k kilometers (22 to 24k milles)

Thanks for the feedback everyone

I think I'll go with a ECO Full Torque tune.
The biggest risk is the torque converter dieing and if that happens I'll put in a suncoast.

Got the tune about 95,000 miles ago (June 09) one of the best things I ever did for this Jeep. Runs/coasts much better. The oil is unbelievably clean each time I change it (Any other diesels I've had it's black about as soon as you start the engine after an oil change). Also a big time improvement in MPG's as well.

I love mine. I forgot about the oil. Mine has been very clean after the long intervals for changes. The best I've ever done is 31 mpg on long trips at 65 MPH. The Michigan winters kill my annual MPG, but the engine runs rather well. I've got about 45K on mine, and the only thing I miss is the large cloud of black smoke when I hit the hammer on green lights. I see nothing thanks to the efficient mix of fuel and air. I can also blow most people off the line... then again most people don't know we're racing.

Get the tune. I've never regretted it, and Keith from GDE is on this board all the time. He was a good guy to work with as I lived close enough to drive to his house for the tune.

I was one of GDE's first customers. Tuned 6/2009, Updated Dec 2010. I think thats about 54,000 miles so far.

I'm very happy with the tune. Especially the EGR operaton.

Had mine about 2 years. I just love it. I saw a modest increase in mileage, but the engine oil is so clean now. That alone was worth the cost. It also has a noticable power increase.

Yeah, living close by to GDE is a nice benefit. I've had the tune updated a couple of times, and its really nice just being able to drive up and have it done. I also rented their tools for my timing belt change.
