I got some good advice from you guys regarding the replacement of the fan clutch on my 05 Limited. I ordered the Hayden 2905 clutch, it arrived today, and I took a look at my stock unit. It is definitely bad.

I thought I saw the red washer a little out of place when it was installed, here it is on the counter.

Wow that looks a little off

How did you determine your's wasn't working, block the fan and listen to see if it kicked in? It seems a little early in the year for you to be over heating

It made a whoosh sound that mimicked the engine rpm, and when I removed it during the timing belt replacement I found it as is. Rotating it in my hand, it turns about 180 degrees, then locks up pretty good.
