I went to mikes express car wash yesterday and got the underbody wash. On my way home i noticed the cruise didnt work. Then a check engine light came on and alsi noticed the brake lights will intermittently stay on while driving and even when the car is turned off! Dangerous to say the least... i checked the code and it read u0002. Said it was a network error of some sort. We were supposed to take the libby for a road trip tomorrow too... :(

Well first thing is first go get some WD40 and start pulling the the fuses under the hood. Also doule check any fuse that is conncted with what the book calls stop lights. Also remove the plugs to the ECM and spray it with some WD40 that should get rid of most of the possible water. Also if you have a garage open the hood and put a fan in there and another one underneath it.

Given the underbody wash I'd be more inclined to look for water intrusion in the connections to 1 or more of the wheel sensors. One for each wheel on the 2006; on the 2005 the back wheels share a sensor on the differential housing IIRC.

Sounds like the brake light switch died, just a coincidence that you had a car wash. :JEEPIN:

Forgot to give an update. After a couple of days the problem went away. Water undoubtedly got some place it shouldn't have been and eventually evaporated.
