Hello,

I had posted a while ago about my turbo going out. Well it did, I had oil coming out the exhaust and turbo was grinding badly. I had a pretty tight budget, so I could not afford a new turbo at the time(3 months ago). I haven't driven the liberty since then. I am doing much better now and I found a used turbo for $400 on ebay! (coming in this week)

I want to play it safe and get the turbo oil supply line, the oil supply line attaching/banjo bolt, and the 2 bolt copper washers. However, I can't seem to find them anywhere online. I haven't had a chance to go to the dealership to ask, but I was hoping to find them online somewhere. Does someone know a website where I can get them or maybe someone here is selling these items? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have looked around this forum and found the part numbers, but still no luck.

turbo oil supply line: P/N 05142607AA
oil supply line attaching/banjo bolt: P/N 05142792AA
attaching bolt copper washers: P/N 04720713 (2)

Not to disagree with playing it safe but I'll offer some thoughts beyond the obvious that a google search on the part numbers provides some possible suppliers, which does not ensure that they actually have the part in stock. That said 1) why replace the banjo bolt (if it's threads are good and the mating surfaces are smooth then at most all that's left to do is clean the oil passage with carb cleaner and pipe cleaners as in smoking pipe cleaners); 2) if you are having trouble finding the copper washers I'm sure Keith at GDE can provide the specs as he includes spares in the Stage II turbo kit or I'll bet any decent parts store can fit from stock; 3) the line itself can easily be cleaned inside with carb cleaner and it either leaks or it doesn't but of course the mating surfaces at both ends need to be smooth.

Just thoughts to do with as you wish.

If you get desparate on the line I'll bet geordi has a spare in good shape. I'd offer mine but I'd kind of like to keep my used but not abused turbo assembly together in case stoutdog ever needs it.

Type the number you give into Google and one supplier I've used is at the top of the list:

Good luck,

Mark
