During hard braking 2005 CRD is experiencing a droning howling type noise sort of like a very aggressive tires. It is deffinatly coming from the front. I have rolated the tires replaced upper and lower control arms, upper ball joints, new rotors had the recall done on the rear control arms also. |

Using OEM brakepads? I believe they are Ceramic something and therefore very hard. Mine always made noise. Changed to Ferodo and problem solved. |

Rather obvious thought - low brake pad warning sometimes sounds like this if pads are fitted for that warning. |

I put on Power Stop rotor and pads 3 months ago, the noise I only noticed in the past few weeks. Let me restate the symptoms it does this during high speed stops coming off the highway. I dont think its a braking issue. I put 4 new tires on last year, they are not wearing that great have had it allighned two times since and rotate the tires every 5-6 thousand miles. I read a post about a balljoint on the rear end that can cause uneven tire wear? |
