Just wondering if anyone had any inside scoop on the most cost effective online place to order a Daystar lift and an AeroTurbine 2525 Muffler.

I'd love to order both from the same place if possible. That way maybe shipping would be lower total (shrug). I can't find anywhere that has both though.

Anyone know?

I got my Daystar 2" lift from 4 wheel parts For $173 with free shipping (that was with an extra 10% off).

I've seen AeroTurbine's on eBay for various prices, but cheeper than anywhere else I've seen them.

It looks like you have an authorized dealer for the Aeroturbine near you. That eliminates shipping, but then you have to worry about sales tax.

It looks like they are an accessory shop, so they may be able to hook you up with the Daystar too. One word of caution on the Daystar 2.5" kit, I noticed that mine really saged in the rear. To fix it I tossed the rear pucks and replaced them and the OEM springs with Skyjacker 2.5" lift springs. It sits level now and looks right. Had I known ahead of time that this was going to happen, I wouldn't have purchased the whole lift from Daystar. They are available in parts alone.

FWIW, This exact combo can be ordered from All J products. Many of the KJ WEST folks were running the Daystar front/ SJ rear spring combo before the Frankenlift was tested. W/ a set of Ranchos it works great and flexes nicely. BTW, I am lurking in here mainly because I'm jealous of your CRD's and wish I had one...... Stupid Gas! Maybe some day.

Just stick with the 2 inch lift from Daystar, the extra 0.5 inch is not worth it. For the CRD, what LibertyCRD showed me for a lift that I now have is awesome, and it keeps the front CV's nearly level! It's not the highest lift we can get, but it's pretty darn close. I've kept my factory struts, shocks, and of course - springs and the ride is AWESOME on and off road.

The kit is KJ09123 and is listed as a 1.5" front, 2.0" rear but with the stiff springs in the front of our CRDs, there is no long term sag in the front, so it ends up being 2.0 inches all the way around (+- 0.25").

It was $171 when I got mine, now it's $176. The base color is black, if you want red - just say so in the order comments.

If you really want that extra 0.5 to 0.75 inches in height you will have to do a combo/hybrid lift as mentioned in other posts. For me, off roading is a VERY small amount of my driving, so keeping the CVs near level was a big priority. 8)

Thanks for the info guys.

off2gofishing - That's some good info. Free shipping and good price. Unfortunately, their price is now up to $193 for the 2" lift (DAYKJ09123). :-(

spoonyG - I saw that place listed as an Aeroturbine dealer. Didn't even think about them maybe being able to get the Daystar as well. Good idea! Might have to drop by there...

JJ! - Nice to see you gettin' the side of your truck greasy over here at the diesel pump! I saw the Daystar options listed on AllJ's and sent them an email about the 2" lift. Quinn said he can get the 2" lift for me...I just need to call him. I'll DEFINITELY pay a bit more to get it from AllJ's. If I can get the Aeroturbine locally and not have to eat shipping, that's what I'm going to do.

AllJeep - That thread (mainly) between LibertyCRD and you should be listed as "CRD Lifting on a Budget 101". It's required reading as far as I'm concerned. I read the whole thing while it was going on, but never contributed because I wasn't shopping lifts then. I've reread it (thanks for the link ;-)) and am doing pretty much the exact same setup because it's the only one that fits my budget now (and likely for a while). I went to RockyMountain, but I couldn't get to the shipping costs on there without giving them my credit card number (pet peave), so I couldn't see how much they'd charge me to get it. But I think I might go through AllJ's anyway. Their prices are equivalent and they're a sponsor of this great forum. I'd love to let them know what their support of this place is money well spent.

Thanks for the help everyone!
