I wonder if the rest of the world used to say... "Everything is made in the USA, they own our asses anyway now"?

I had O'Reilys deliver me some other goodies and to my surprise I open the box to see that this filter is made in China. Global economies at work. Maybe Baldwin still produces this filter in the USA? Update, I found the Baldwin BF7970 on Graingers on-line cat & it is made in China also. Is the Mopar filter Chinese too? |

Back when I first got my CRD i bought a quantity of Mopar filters from eBay. As of 5 years ago they were made in Italy. I don't know if that is still the case. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 |

They've been MIC for at least 5 years. Also, depending on local legislation "made at home" doesn't necessarily mean much. Final processing and packaging may be sufficient to allow items to be marked as made here. |

I order Fleetguard FL-19781 filters today. Made in France... this maybe silly but I am not very big on putting a Chinese fuel filter on my engine. Probably non-sense but that's how I feel about it  Thanks, Tom |

But it is outsourced for cost benefit alone - cheap, suppressed labor and suppressed currency.
