My daughter starts college this fall and the tuition bills will be rolling in soon. She is a good kid, worked hard, graduated with a 4.45 gpa and was salutatorian of her class. Yeah, I am a proud dad and am happy to pay what I can. :D

To that end I am selling my '05 Limited. It's got 76,000 miles and has been well cared for and always garaged so it is in excellent condition. Except for the EHM it is all stock. I will advertise in all the usual places, Autotrader, local rag, Craigslist. So how should I price it for a quick sale? I am seeing asking prices all over the map but I don't know what they actually sell for. Any information is much appreciated.

I would say 10k to 11k should result in a quick sale.

How do you get a 4.45 GPA? I thought it maxed out at 4.0.

AP/IB classes get weighed differently to show that you took harder classes.

Then if you are like me they change the grading scale on your AP/IB classes so that a 83% is a C, then when your college looks at your GPA they won't look at your weighed GPA, meaning you took that harder class, got an 83%, and the college sees that 83% as a C.

Why am I still pissed about this stuff ten years on?

Yep, as the Pastafarian noted AP and college level courses are weighed differently. She accumulated 94 college level credits (and an associate degree at the local community college) of which W&M recognizes 72. Other people's experience indicate she will be there 4 years regardless. :(
