Post subject:  exhaust system questions
First off i was wondering what you guys have used and liked. I searched the forum and can't find much or i find other threads with the words scattered in the text.

I've been looking online and on fleabay just to get an idea whats out there and everything is for the gasser engines.

My muffler has a decent size hole in it and short of cutting it out and putting in a straight pipe. i would want to replace entire muffler and tailpipe in a bolt in stainless steel option.

I am running the Dynomax 17748. I got it off Amazon.com for $55.00 with free shipping. My CRD came with a straight pipe and it was just a little to loud. This is supposed to be a direct replacement for the CRD however you have to cut the flanges off the old muffler and weld them onto the new one.

I can't compare sound to the stock muffler since like I said I had a straight pipe before. It is much more quiet than the straight pipe and I did not notice any decrease in performance.

thanks, i was looking for something i didn't have to weld. I have a bare bones mig welder and i wouldn't want the exhaust to rust off where i welded the flange a year or so later.
