I changed my fuel filter and moved my power module around a bit. Now my jeep is in limp mode. What do I check and how do you get it out of limp

Power module? Are you referring to the fuel heater above the filter? It shouldn't move. If it is loose you will suck in lots of air. If things were fine before the filter change, you almost certainly have air in the system. Did you bleed the air out at the bleeder screw on the side of the filter head? Looks like a brake bleeder screw. Takes an 11mm wrench. Pump plunger on top of filter head. Open bleeder. Close bleeder. Repeat until you are only bleeding fuel.

No I have a predator power module hacked into my wire harness. I had to unplug most of the connections to get to the filter but didn't relealy see any problems. So It must be air just seems it would start harder than it does

First you need to prime/bleed the new fuel filter, simply open the bleeder, pump until fuel comes out constantly without air bubbles, close the bleeder and your done, just a trick for your next time doing the fuel filter, before you install it on the heater head, fill it up with fuel or power service additive,it makes the priming/bleeding session quite shorter!

Hope this help,if you need more info just tell!

Personally, I wouldn't put anything unfiltered through my pump and injectors. To each, his own...

I have pre filled my filter several times once I posted about doing it with fuel from a gallon Gerry can I got scolded but nothing bad happened, maybe it was luck. last time I fulled it most of the way up with seafoam from a freshly opened can. That stuff is so clear i could see no visible dirt and I had no issue then either. the seafom may have cleaned the fuel system up a little.

I still would be care full what you fill the filter with you can trust is clean. If i'm not mistaken any thing you pour in the center hole on the filter goes in the engine unfiltered.

Yup, you are correct.

Much better to install the filter dry, then simply prime it. No mess, no unfiltered fuel. Same procedure as my VW and my Mercedes.

Well dropped my jeep off today at the dealie. Told him about it going into limp mode after I replaced the fuel filter. He quickly said oh those years are known for packing off with soot. I'm quite worried I wish I could hang out while they do the work.it was running so good befor the fuel filter :furious:
