Diesel World Magazine did a few pages on the Gale Banks Engineering VM 3.0 this month. I am hoping that since Gale Banks is doing work on them, we will see them in a few applications. Besides the Grand Cherokee, I would possibly get one in a 1/2 or midsize pickup. A few issues ago, Diesel Power Magazine also did an article on it here. http://www.dieselpowermag.com/tech/1208 ... el_engine/

Banks can do great Engineering that advances the Good Works started by VM. The CGI block is a good design. Lets hope that Chrysler/Fiat does not have any brain farts and opt for forcing VM into a morphing of the head cracking 3.6L V6 Pimple Star aluminum block. There are only two basic actions that can screw up the VM 3.0L V6. 1) Bean Counter Engineering to cut costs that cost more with recalls in the long run. 2) Have the Environmental/Academic/Junk Science Complex generate more junk that gets spun into more haphazard some good/some stupid EPA regulations. As one who works with Environmental Equipment, it would be much better if the Professors on Academic Welfare and Government Bureaucrats with their unchecked decisions were replaced by a Group of Professional Environmental Engineers who place their jobs on the line with every decision they make. Some regulations would be tougher, but the garbage Regulations would get put where they need to be, gone. |

4 cam shafts chain and gear driven. If I could afford it I'd never let it go |

Looks like banks is working on this for a conversion motor. I would buy my friends 4dr 2wd 5spd Dakota and drop it in. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2 |
