The output hose from the intercooler to the engine intake has a red liner (actually part of the hose) in it, the outside is black. The numbers on the hose are a Jeep part #. Am I looking at a silicon lined hose ? |

CAC hoses with orange interior lining are the original design with no silicon...good for the dumpster. |

Has the latest part number but still has an orange inside. I'll try to post the pn later if I remember. It is definitely the latest one, I checked before ordering and before installing. I am disappointed that it was orange... |

OK...OK...OK, I ordered the Samco hoses. This engine sure a has a lot a small quirks. that if not attended to, could cause massive problems. I hate it when the manufacturer doesn't do things right !! I ordered black so I don't have to wear sun glasses every time I open the hood or have a warning label, " CAUTION UV eye protection required BEFORE opening hood " |
