I have a weird noise on the passenger front side. At least that's where it sounds like it is coming from. Its sounds like a spring rattling. Anyone have this happen? I checked heat shields and exhaust. Everything is tight.

Could be motor mount see http://www.greendieselengineering.com/f ... t/115.page on the other hand if it's a clicking noise on a turn could be CV joint

I should have been more clear I guess. Its not an axle. Its not a clicking sound. It only does the sound at about 1700 rpm. Anyone thst has ever heard a big spring ( like the springs on a trampoline ) vibrate against something knows what I'm talking about.

I just spent a LOT of time under mine trying to figure out something like that. Seems that the PO had someone hack together an exhaust. It took me several tries to get the tight area at the axle/fuel tank just right. Hope yours is something as cheep to fix. Good luck!

Yours was back towards the muffler? I haven't looked back there.

Yeah mine was showing rub marks from the sway bar, the coil spring, and the e-brake cable. Couldn't tell where it was cause it echoed clear through the truck. Wife swore it was under her feet. I am too deaf to hear it well enough to tell. Had to slide under her for actual diagnosis. My wife was getting upset about how much time the mistress was claiming.
