Ok here goes.
Towed two snowmobiles today on a small trailer. Maybe 3k max. Towed the snowmobile behind my recently lifted kj crd with 245 75 16s. Added an inline Stant thermostat two days prior has worked awesome. Have towed with crd before lift with stock tires pre stant and it was amazing. Today it was a turd. I was towing 3k up a 20 mile stretch with 3000' elevation Rise. It flat couldn't hack it. It wouldn't hold fifth which I expected. Then it wouldn't hold fourth even at 55. So I'm in third pushing 3200 rpm and 5 miles from the destination the temp climes to almost 3/4. I rolled the windows down turned on the heat backed of the throttle two mins later temp was normal and I took it easy 45 50 the rest of the way. When I hit Dutchman snowpark I entered the parking lot at 10 mph slowing to 5 within 30 seconds of deceleration off highway and entering parking lot smoke is pluming out the back of my rig. I stop in park. Look underneath and am blowing trans fluid from somewhere above the transmission pan seal.

No trans temp light came on. No other temp spikes.
I have a cel from my orm so I will check for codes in the am.
Please help, I'm lost.

What torque converter is in your rig? If stock has it shuttered a lot? Has the front pump been replaced?

It's stock. F 37nd. Never a shudder not once not ever. I cross the cascades at least monthly and lug it pretty good as much as I can with the f37. No tc issues what so ever

You'll have to crawl under and look for things like burst/ leaking trans lines, dipstick tube properly seated/ secured, and a general idea where the fluid is leaking from.

Good luck.

Update update

Wow!
Thursday of last week I stopped at oil can Henry's to top up my coolant after my Stant install. (I'm a cheap sensored word) when I was there they checked and topped up my other fluids including trans fluid. Today I decided I would start troubleshooting the jeep by taking in to oil can Henry's and having them top the fluid up. I was going to try and limp it in there, the jeep drove flawlessly.? So I get to oil can Henry's and tell the manager what's happened. He checks my trans fluid and it is over filled! Still!!!!
Mind you on my Saturday blow out I left at min four quarts in dutchman snowparks parking lot, I'm talking a ton of fluid on the ground exhaust driveline everywhere!! And it's overfilled still non the less. They syphoned out another quart till it was at correct capacity. The jeep seems to be shifting the same first to second feels a lil softer but I am being very critical and might be nothing. I'm scared, angry, and confused at what has happened. This has to be horrible to do to an auto trans. 5ish quarts over the correct capacity.
What should I be Looking for watching, I'm I being to worrisome? Any help appreciated

If anybody put 5 qts too much ATF in my trans, I'd wonder if they put in the correct fluid. They're not coming across as real smart guys.
