Hi,
I just said "hello" in the introduction, and now I have a question. I joined this site for info/help with my CRD, so here goes.
How long should the glow plug light stay on, on a 20 degree morning, for the first start? My light goes off within 3 seconds. The Jeep seems to start well, but I do leave it plugged in overnight. I'm a little worried that if I am somewhere I can't plug it in, it will give me trouble. Is 3 seconds normal? (But then again, is there anything normal about a CRD OR the owners)?

Thanks, Rob

Welcome to LOST :ALONE: That sounds good to me, but I live in FL. My light stays let about the same amount of time maybe longer. I always let my glow plug cycle before starting, always.. I have had people tell me its not necessary. IMO its there for a reason, make sure all 4 cylinders fire off. bshooter

A few seconds. I got a video of a few 5 degree starts.

Not to hijack but what if the light doesn't come on when ambient temp is 0*F? It seems that the glow plugs work just not illumination on dash.

You can do a dash cluster test. I think you hold the odometer button while you turn the key on. But if the bulb works, then your GPs are trashed. Any Check Engine lite?
