I'm still trying to remove my transmission. The last thing holding me up is the upper cooler line.

1. Can any one tell me the bolt size of the line at the transmission?
2. OR does anyone have the quick removal tool to disconnect it at the cooler (8775a or something like that) that I can borrow.
3. Other ideas to get through this. There's not enough slack in these lines to get the torque converter out, even with the plastic holder disco'd.

Thanks,

A good pick set will pull those transmission clips right out.

You cut the metal and spliced it back with rubber hose and clamps? Flaring the metal ends?

Sounds easy enough.

Exactly. There's not nearly enough slack to get the transmission far enough away from the engine.

One last question, are these lines pressurized?

Thanks for the help.

Wouldn't a brass plumbing union work well too? Or would room be an issue?

Arguing about whether the glass is half full or half empty misses the point: the bartender cheated you.

You would do that in the rubber section of the line right? I guess that would also be an option.

I think your referring to a hose barb like this.

I meant something like this for connecting hard lines

Oh, beautiful. I will give that a shot.

I just made the cut. The angle grinder is my new favorite tool.
