Rear ended another SUV (I wasn't driving it). No one was hurt, but it hurt the Jeep pretty bad. Fortunately it wasn't totaled, but the damage was over $5500, covered by my collision insurance less the deductible. I just picked it up from the body shop today, here is a list of the replacement parts and repairs:
1) Front bumper and absorber 2) Grille 3) Headlamps 4) Replaced upper and center radiator supports, repaired lower 5) Radiator and fan assembly 6) Intercooler 7) AC condensor 8) Hood and latch
Ouch.
On the bright side, my transmission cooler repair is now history and back to the factory configuration, hopefully the lines don't crack out of the radiator again. And my old inner grille panel was already broken into pieces,so that's back in one piece. Mileage on the Jeep is getting close to 120k, so it is now a good time to take it in for transmission service just in case they got junk into it when the cooler was replaced.
