I have a 2005 Jeep CRD with 130,000 miles. Im really tired of messing with thing, every time I fix it something else will break. Currently it has the AIR in the fuel line symptoms, when running it is running rough. It has the Gen 2 fuel head, lift pump and the plunger is hard, so no air in the lines. The timing belt was done at 100,000 miles, the rear end was rebuilt less then 500 miles ago and the transfer case was placed with a low mileage unit less then 2,000 miles ago. Im guessing that one or multiple injectors are bad or the Injector pump. Or it could be something really simple. What is this thing worth as is.

I too am curious for the same car in working condition. Once it is repaired (timing belt went due to waterpump. Rocker damages...everything is fine), I plan on selling it.

Not to hijack your threat, but I figured we both could get answers in the same thread.

Why did you have to replace the transfer case and have the rear diff rebuilt already?
Did you follow the fluid change intervals as stated in the owner's manual?
Just curious.
Most of my other jeeps that I have owned, the drive trains have lasted 200,000 miles.

The Fluid changes were done at the proper intervals. My guess is driving it from Gulfport Mississippi to Homer Alaska Pulling a 5,000 lbs trailer and back, has alot to do with the problems.
