My oil light comes on when at idle and low RPM. Goes off when RPM's are raised. I have an 05 CRD with only 75,000 miles. Any thoughts? Apologies if this has been discussed.

Several people have had the pressure sensor die and do that. You could confirm actual pressure with a mechanical gauge screwed into the stock sensor location forward of the oil filter. Should have 16 psi at idle with fully hot oil. Have someone rev it to 2000 rpm and look for 35 psi min.

if the oil light comes on - and the engine is still running - it's the sensor

see any of Geordi's posts on oil pressure.
