Does anyone know if the factory insulation in the engine cover is available separately, or do you have to buy a whole new cover? The reason I ask is that at some point a rodent decided to tear into the section towards the firewall and start to use it to make a nest on top of the valve cover. So the "seam" at the back is ripped open and there's a bunch of gray crumbly foam coming out. I know If I was a "real man" I'd just leave it off, but if I don't have to find or buy a whole new cover I might just replace the foam.

I doubt it it's available separately and if it was me I'd probably just ditch the cover as not worth the trouble of fixing and certainly not worth buying. That said I can think of several types of material that probably could be glued on to replace the existing material if you want to do so.
