Hey Fellas, I got an Email from ID Parts yesterday about a special they are running on the Libby timing belt kit. It comes with a GRAF water pump instead on the OE VM Motri one (which is still available) and its considerably cheaper. I did a search in the forums to see if anyone has had any experience with the GRAF but didn't find much. Wold greatly appreciate opinions, experiences etc. Thanks, Tony. |

I would like to know also, I saw the same thing and since my timing belt is 8 years old and my warranty just ran out(70K) I was thinking about pulling the trigger on this kit with the GRAF water pump. |

Anything other than Chinese made should be ok as all the reported failures relate to them. |

Well from the picture on ID's website it appears high quality. I definitely like the idea of the brass impeller. I found a couple of other forums where there were reported failures of GRAF pumps mostly in BMW's and a few other brands of cars. The pumps that had the failures appear to have had a spot welded impeller. |

Someone here put one on...they ordered it from Europe. Don't recall them having any problems. I just got my kit yesterday. I ordered the Graf one. I doubt ID parts would substitute the water pump from OEM now without doing their homework, since they had the crap Crown ones fail. |

That assumption is a loooong shoot. businesses will always be that, businesses. |

That's just good business !! |
