Hi, ive replaced fuel filtrr, filter head, injector pump( due to contamination from bio diesel). had tank and lines down and cleaned, had rail and injector pipes cleaned, when you liad the engine, turbo boost pressure raises and it seems to stall engine? if i remove the map sensor the engine dont stall? i checked wastegate and diafram seems good? Put a multimeter into map sensor and no abnormal reading present?? I think the jeep had been to dealer for this fault and had a fortune spent on it!! really could use some help...please!!!!

Pulling the map sensor may cause the system to reduce it's use of the FCV/EGR - could the biodiesel issues have clogged the pipes?

Or, perhaps it's just a coincidence - the EGR needs no particular reason to fail; they do it on their own every 30k or so.

Are you getting any trouble codes (check-engine light)?

Yep, what trouble codes are you pulling?

danny - you would probably get more on point advice if you add a signature to your profile including year, engine size, and transmission. I know from your other post that it's a 2.5 so probably 2004 or earlier export model which has a different EGR setup from the 05/06 2.8 US model and that there is an easy way to disable the EGR on those models that is invisible and throws no codes.

Yeh its a 2002 2.5 crd with a manual 5. speed transmisdion, ive blocked the egr as adviced? would it be worth actually blanking it at the manifold? The faults on the truck ate low fuel pressure..which has been present for ages and multifunction switch?

If you have not already downloaded the special section of the Service Manual that applies to the 2.5/2.8 Export CRDS then do so here...download the section 2.5_2.8 Export Diesel. This tells you all about the engine side of our 2.5/2.8 CRDs which is different to the later models with a variable-vane turbo.

Have you disabled the EGR by blocking off the one small pipe on the EGR solenoid next to the battery?
Unfortunately while this method does work...I have this on mine....it could be a problem if your EGR happens to be jammed in the open position or half-open position.

Try get some codes....the "key" method definitely works on the 2002 Export CRD.

Turn the ignition key ON/OFF rapidly 4 times without starting the engine.
On the 4th time leave the ignition ON and the odometer should display error codes in sequence...old ones first and latest one last. It takes a bit of practice getting this ON/OFF function to work correctly...sometimes it needs 5 ON/OFF sequences.

The last codes are the only ones you are interested in....be aware that this method sometimes transposes the last two digits so that code P1052 for example may actually mean P1025. This method does not clear codes.

You sure you are pulling off the MAP sensor and not the fuel rail pressure sensor?...they are next to each other.

Is the MAP sensor clean? Do not touch it but clean carefully with Carb Cleaner spray. :?

before you blame biodiesel..did you get a bad batch?
why do I ask??? oh just about 60k miles on biodiesel..home made..

a bad batch of fuel is just that..BAD..dinodiesel or biodiesel..

so please put the blame where it belongs..bad fuel..maybe bad biodiesel maybe not..bad dino diesel maybe not..
