My '05 Liberty CRD went into the Dealership on Friday with a CEL and some other minor needs. They pulled Glow Plug #3 and found it to be pretty beat up. I now understand the 7V vs. 5V debacle. They were going to put a 5V plug in when i let them know that wouldn't work for obvious reasons.

This is my wife's daily driver and thus i'm hoping to get it back on the road ASAP. Is there any US source for the Italien 7V metal glow plug? I'm happy to pay for overnight shipping as I just don't want to wait a week or two for a plug to come from Italy. If not, i'll probably have the dealership put the old one back in until a new one arrives.

Thanks guys,

Christian

If anything, I can ship you an old plug (free, just pay shipping), the earliest I can do it though is friday (I'm out of town). I would just order the etechno metallic plugs, and have them all replaced. My old ceramic plugs look really good, I had replaced them with etechno when I did the rocker job. Let me know if you want them.

Check at idparts.com if they have any, that would be my first suggestion.

I'm surprised you found an agreeable dealer who is willing to do something OTHER that force you into whatever hare-brained scheme MOPAR has developed! That might be the first good dealer I've heard about.
