When did my timing belt I noticed the fan clutch was leaking from the seal (orginal). I replaced that with the Hayden 2905. Less than 1000 miles later the Hayden is slinging fluid and the temp gage goes way up when pulling a hill. Are there quality issues with Hayden? If you have not done the split the fan shroud mod when you had the chance I feel sorry for you. So when the replacement gets here I get to go in again. Specifics: temps, high 90's, 7000ft. elevation. no towing, 65 mph speeds. 95,000 miles. I can't wait to see if this turns into a head gasket issue.

Are you saying you pegged the gauge? Have you had the recalibration reflash? Did it defuel? For future reference, if it EVER gets above 3/4, SHUT IT OFF! NO Exceptions.... DOC |

It has had the factory reflash. Did not peg the needle but went over 3/4. Cooled down to under 3/4 when I pulled over and let it idle. Put the orginal fan clutch back in and drove the next day, gage temps were much better pulling the hills. It did not defuel. |
