The Alaskan tent is gone, cardboard works better in the winter, but everything else included.
Have a bunch of stuff but most of it not needed but will include.
Updated signature.

You might consider mentioning when the GDE flash and EHM were done relative the likely quantity of engine soot and folks that are interested and know enough will want to know about the timing belt and water pump.

Good point, did the timing belt and water pump at 100k miles.
Will have to check the receipts to find out when I did the ehm, GDE hot flash and tranny flash.
Anyone really interested in my history could just read all my posts, did it all here with help here.
Actually lurked until i bought the CRD then joined.
Suggest any CRD buyer or prospect do the same.

Buying one of these long distance is a difficult effort.
Suggest you all look locally, CRD's are there.
Another thing, no one has asked the right question to determine the value of this here diesel Jeep.
Doing your homework?
Will post pictures, have been busy.

PM: "Rob, why are you selling it? From what I can tell when reading your posts I get that you love you CRD."

I do enjoy the Jeep very much. I need a plow truck and a pickup, usually get rid of vehicles at 100,000 miles but have kept this because I could not find anything better. However, just bought a Caravan with the Pentastar v6. Got 27mpg with the ac on first tank.

PM: "Yes, I have read much. I do have one question. If you do the things necessary to correct the intake soot, replace hoses, and air water separator will it be a reliable vehicle?"

No intake soot. I use 2 stroke and diesel additive when towing and the Italian tune up when some jerk is riding my arse.
Replace hoses? Has Samco intercooler but other hoses are original.
Air water separator? My Dodge Cummins fuel pump is in tank, have original fuel filter head, no problem when the fuel filter gets changed and you buy fuel at reputable outlets.

PM: Rob -

Sorry to see you go, though I am a big fan of minivans so I'm a bit jealous as well. Anyway, send me some photos if you could - . I've been looking to pick up another one, I'm in Boston, won't be bugging you with questions...money is green etc. I'd be thrilled to pick up yours since I wouldn't have to do all "basics" - TC, GDE tuning etc.

My primary concerns are the lift kit - I set up my jeep with stock springs and wheels with high efficiency michelins and can break 35mpg on the highway. If you have the OE springs left that would really help so I could swap out if I don't like the OMEs.

Whenever you get a moment.

Thanks,
...............
Ok, must get those pics up.
The springs went flat in the front due to the engine weight that is why I went OME's.
Believe I still have the rear springs. Will look around.

I've been ruminating on this riddle you have given us...cause this thing is too cheap.

What question could this be...

Is it running?
Does it need rockers?
Is the transmission shot?
Is the turbo shot?
Is it smashed into a billion pieces?

Questions abound!

New car dealers offered me $1-2,000 sight unseen, when new car shopping.
The manifold air pressure at idle, that is the question I was getting at. To determine if the valves or rockers are bad... And I have not bothered to find out. Shame on me.
I guess if it is that underpriced I should remove it and reprice it higher....done..no longer for sale.

So I am confused... is it/was it for sale or not? Did you keep it or sell? Was there a problem with it or not? $1K-$2K sight unseen?! Thats a steal... for the dealers. It is worth more than that. Even at $5K, I think it is a good price, UNLESS there is a problem with it. Seems the price was low, hence why there were so many questions (which I suspect annoyed you...). You have to look at it from the buyers standpoint. Why is this vehicle priced so cheap? I am still trying to figure out the purpose of the thread and the posts of the PM's from other members... :banghead:

Me three.

Too cheap, I think he decided to pull the listing and re-offer it at a higher amount.

FYI: I would START at or above the KBB numbers, and stay in that range. Every car sale I have ever done has been in the range of KBB numbers, with the singular exception of the CRD with a blown motor. Even then, that one sold at close to the KBB numbers, when all the extra parts / supplies are factored in.

People subconsciously apply value to something that is expensive, and distrust something that is cheap. There are exceptions to this (like that crazy Canadian lunatic that wanted $25,000 for his CRD about a year or two ago) but that is how it works.

Looks like the Liberty CRD has claimed another victim. Poor guy is suffering for CRDinitus and has lost his mind. Can't be the first, definitely not the last.

Maybe we should all get together and park our Liberty's close together. One of them is bound to spontaneously combust and put us out of our misery... lol.

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened here. Seems like fastRob was just trying to mess around since he was being catty with answering questions. Maybe the questions annoyed him, who knows, he didn't say. For now this thread is just a big distraction. :banghead:

A reply to your posts, Yes, I am CRD'd.
Love it and hate it. Over 100,000 miles of diesel envy satisfied.
Was thinking, just put a low price on it and sell it quick. Too much BS to post pics and play salesman, thought just come look at it and buy it.
So now I will clean out years of birddog hair and slobber, wash the windows and get it inspected. Then sell it locally using a price guide.
You guys saved me $$$, thanks.

I sell cars all the time. I don't see how it is "too much BS to take pics and be a salesman." If you really want to sell it, you'd do these things. There are LOTS of folks on here that would buy it, especially at that price. The long distance thing is a pain, but really not that big of a pain. you'd make more money and probably have less hassle from local tire kickers who will ask 9,999,999 stupid assed questions. Seems you do not want to sell it that badly. I can't say I blame you though....
