Does anyone remember?

I was at a auto show back in 2005 and remember Banks had a fully decked out Liberty CRD. Was I the only one that saw and touched that vehicle? I am just curious because the bimbo that answers the phone at Banks says that never existed.

Regrettably, I was not in a position to lay hands on the beauty of which you write but I have read an archived article on such an animal - Diesel Power Mag I am sure. Quite well detailed with some 23 pics in the gallery if I recall correctly.
You are not crazy and it apparently did happen.

No sir - been trying to find it again - do you think I can? I wanted to have a good read - only scanned before.
I think the Jeep in the article I have in mind wasn't shown much except for the detailed shots. Will keep looking as I can and will post the link if I find it. As I recall lots of pics showing detail.

Banks/Diesel Power did a built up on the 3.0 V6 - not the 2.8

The Liberator was a Jeep show custom - the engine appeared stock.

No... I'm talking in 2005 when I saw the Liberty CRD. I remember now it was a RV show at the Anaheim Convention Center. Banks was showing if off as their latest prototype.

Well - reading a bit further - it seems Banks claims they did some work on the Liberator - but the only notes I saw were on a custom exhaust. If there was something else - Google can't seem to find it

This was the best series of photos I've seen SEMA 2003 -but nothing of the engine.
