CEL came on last week with p1261 & p0101.

Reading through some posts has me realizing that MAP/MAP/EGR etc have never been an issue and never been cleaned or anything. The mechanic suggested to change the EGR first as this is an issue with diesels.

What should really be cleaned. I have read alot here about going SEGR and ORM etc. Not inclined to go that route. Are there any tutorials with pics (preferred)?

Based on the dealer costs I am leaning to doing this myself. Seems like a time consuming process.

Have you heard about Keith at GDE? I bought a CRD in 2010 with codes. A GDE tune, cleaning the MAP made all that stuff go away. My best advice is to give him a call. Keith has a 100% approval rating with guys who are very picky.
