I've noticed when I stop are just begin accelerating, a clunking noise coming from the right rear passenger side, I'm possibly thinking something to do w/ the breaks, the vehicle currently has 106k on it.

If that 106k is miles I hope you have done your timing belt.

Could be:
1. rear brakes including parking drum brake that tends to come apart inside the disc
2. lower control arm.
3. "wishbone" assembly above rear axle
4. bearings.

I had the same thing but on the drivers side. Through a lot of trial and error I tracked it down to the lower control arm bushings. I had 90k miles on it at the time. I wound up replacing the upper control arm (because I tore the boot on the ball joint when I raise the vehicle and let the back axle hang for a week...bad idea BTW), and then I changed the lowers. I don't know if anyone else got a notice, but I got a notice from Chrysler saying that they were changing out the lowers on some vehicles due to corrosion concerns. I had already changed mine so I threw the notice away but it might be worth a call to your local dealer to see if you qualify. :2cents:

The replacement applied to vehicles sold in "snow" country states. I have no clue what if anything was done for vehicles that lived in snow country states but were not originally sold there. Seems to me if salt induced corrosion was an issue then all of the vehicles should have at least been inspected but then no one asked me what was best for the owner as opposed to the selling company. Not that DCJ is any better or worse than any other company that reports to the bottom line and not customers.

You can get the part cost back from Chrysler if you'd already had them replaced.
