Yep, I've had both of my hoses do the "only leaks under pressure and only where you can't see it" thing, typically in a bend where the oil coalesces a bit when it's cool. The ONLY way to tell for sure if you don't THINK it's leaking is removal, good cleaning, and a careful visual inspection flexing it around in your hands a bit. Thankfully, nut drivers, simple green, and shop rags are pretty cheap.
BTW, I know people are paranoid of oil in the intake, but as long as it's clean (i.e. not accompanied by soot from the EGR) and not a large volume, it's really not particularly harmful. As long as the MAP is just damp with oil, that's okay. Closed crank cases do blow a little oil and the system's designed to burn it off effectively (again, as long as the EGR is not blowing soot...). It DOES use diesel, after all
