Hi recently one bulb scorched the housing of my headlights so I took the plunge and found a pair of eagle eyes for 47 bucks shipped but it turned out to be turds made in Taiwan.
So looking for any advice on TYc or omex Ada as I do not want to pay 250 each for OEM made in Canada stuff.thanks

They all will be made in Taiwan or china besides the OEM housings. The quality really shows also compared to OE.

I have nothing else against made in Asia apart from quality and was hoping for something half decent for 70-100 per piece as opposed to 500 for a pair.

When I worked at the bodyshop we used all the brands and they truly sucked. As long as you never had to adjust them and some with major fitment issues they looked pretty.

Be lucky OEM's are only $500 for the pair,my '02 for some reason has a different design then any other year and cost almost $400 each.

Wouldn't be a junkyard headlight a viable option?

I was considering that option but as the cars age they get crud/scratches on lenses still worth a shot .

I agree these cheap knock offs are shinny as hell the lenses are shiiiiit the beam fall off barely two feet from jeep.

I am seriously considering the Retrofit option and even have taken apart the older headlights after cooking them in oven @ 250 for 10 minutes. They came apart easy, now i am stuck at the point of removing bulb protectors from the housing it seems like fused together instead of screw mounted, so i need some rotary tool to cut and see what can be done.....anyways do you have a write up or some pictures of your project and any issues with oncoming traffic / LE ( I know properly implemented retrofit should have none just asking for your exp..)........thx.

I haven't done it myself, but it is in my future plans after a GDE tune. I am not happy with the factory headlights on this thing. If you google Jeep Liberty Bi-Xenon you should be able to find a few forum posts about it at various sites. The Retrofit Source has some projectors that should just mount right into the existing 9007 headlight hole and require very little/no cutting.

Which one did you end up going with. I would love to see how it works out.

I also saw a thread on here yesterday where some guy cleared the headlight lenses with Crest Scope toothpaste instead of one of those $30 polishing kits. I don't know if its something you have to do, but thought it was a good idea.

Last time I priced the OE Mopar units, they were around $150/each, maybe less. I can check if anyone is interested...

Hey, that picture of the retrofit is mine.
If you can afford it go for it. Totally worth it if you do any night driving, especially if there aren't a lot of street lamps.
The link is in my signature for how I did it.

Not exactly a write-up, but plenty of information and pictures.
Enjoy.
Definitely post back with what you come up with.

Cool! Any reason you went with the H1 projectors vs the D2S projectors?

Looks like you can get the aftermarket knockoffs for like $50/pair on Ebay. If your gunna do a retrofit, the quality of the housing shouldn't matter since the projector will be doing all of the work.

For me it was lack of knowledge about options and h1 kits are readily available on net now looking back I would have done it the other way .
Now after doing all the hard work it seems I pointed my cut offs too low as I did not factor in on the slope of driveway so time to order another set of cheap headlights and start over again.

Bought myself a set of ebay heat mirrors($52) and headlights($47). The mirrors seems nice, but the headlights were both messed up when I got them. The reflector bowls had both come loose within the housing, one was completely detached and rattling around, the other was onlt attached to 1 of 3 mounts and was wobbling. Just an FYI
