 Post subject: Odometer function...

I don't know where to put this... But, when I got my Jeep, the odometer would stop working now and then. It would go along and suddenly stop counting up miles until you restarted the vehicle.

I finally noticed a correlation between the ABS warning and the odo stopping.

Once we fixed the broken wire to the rear sensor, the odometer has been flawless ever since. It apparently needs that signal to function.

Yes. My neighbor was having a problem with his ABS. He pulled the ABS fuse so that he could make it home to replace the sensor. The odometer does not register any miles when the fuse is pulled. So beware of any "low" mile Liberty that may have been driven without the fuse or with a bad sensor.
